Long Walk Home – Make a Donation

Long Walk Home - Make a Donation

The Event

On the 13th of March, Firefighters Chris May and David Stork will embark on a 115km walk in support of Emergency Service workers and their families across Australia.

This event will begin mid morning and conclude in an anticipated 27 hours, finishing at the Fire Services Museum of Victoria, right next to FRV Fire Station 01.

The walk will pass through FFMVic, CFA and FRV areas as well as areas covered by Ambulance Victoria, the State Emergency Service and Victoria Police.

The aim of the walk is to raise funds to allow the 000 Foundation to continue its great work and demonstrate the friendship, courage and endurance of our Emergency Service workers, volunteers  and their support staff who serve the community every minute of every day!

About the Foundation

000 Foundation was established in 2020 to advance the welfare of Emergency Services Personnel, especially for those suffering from mental health issues like depression, post-traumatic stress injuries and suicide.

We support families and small initiatives through Special Circumstances Grants, helping emergency services families by assisting them through the challenges of mental health illness.

Our program also supports various organisations dedicated to mental health including through the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb, donating funds to Lifeline, Fortem Australia and Black Dog Institute.

As a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR), registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC) supports the distribution of funds to beneficiaries of the Stair Climb and will provide tax deductible receipts for donations over $2.
